Champagne, roses as Jessica Watson celebrates birthday

JESSICA Watson marked her 18th birthday yesterday with pink roses, Mumm champagne and her family.

The teen who shot to fame after sailing the world solo is celebrating her independence.

Manager Andrew Fraser said: "She's been kicked out of plenty of VIP parties early, can't sign contracts for herself ... so she's definitely looking forward to putting those days behind her."
